Sony MZ-N10 is the world's smallest and lightest NetMD Type-S DSP MDLP MiniDisc recorder (as of 09.01.02) with improved MDLP recording (DSP Type-S). Unit is Sony's anniversary model celebrating the 10th anniversary of the MiniDisc format. Four new developments making MZ-N10's light weight and thin size possible:
1. Improved optical pickup and disk motor.
2. Miniaturization of mainstay IC.
3. Built-in 3mm LithiumIon battery.
4. Smaller Magnesium casing.

Improved NetMD allows high speed up to 64X LP4 transfer of sound and text data between PC and MD through SonicStage software. New 4 mode virtual phone technology (studio, live, club, arena) to reproduce sounds in 4 realistic settings. 6 Band equalizers (-10dB to 10dB, Heavy, Pops, Jazz, Unique, and 2 user define settings). Equipped with Group Function and G-Protection. Also comes with matching color recharging stand with onboard USB connection.

Liquid crystal LCD panel displays 3 lines of text. Stick remote displays Kanji (Chinese characters) and performs index search functions. Book mark function to mark your favorite tunes (up to 20) during playback and listen to them with easy without searching. Unit can edit disc while playback and recording. Easy index search function in remote control to retrieve desired songs quickly. Digital pitch control to adjust speed/tempo -50% to +100% in 13 steps without changing pitch. High speed battery recharging (80% recharged in 1 hour).
