Travel to Croatia

I'm going to Croatia for holiday (Baska, Krk ) and I want to make calls send SMS and MMS to Slovakia and have an internet access (Facebook, weather forecast). Roaming doesn't come on force (too expensive ) so I want to buy a prepaid Croatian sim card.
Please help me to choose the best prepadi card.
Decisive and important is:
- cost of sim card, initial credit
- validity of sim card, credit (possibility to use sim card next year)
- easy possibility to buy sim card

Can you help me please choose optimal tariff? Thank you

Basically, T-Mobile Simpa prepaid card should make your vacations easier. It is slightly expensive network but it has very good coverage along the shore as well as on islands too.

...I agree...well, Tele2 is cheapest but the coverage is poor...
...about possibility of using it next year - 100kn credit give you about 6 months validity...but I think that you can buy an extra 100kn credit and take it with yourself (to home) and extend credit...

about Tele 2 - i had a friend from czech republic visiting last summer, and we realized that Tele 2 had problems with SMS towards czech vodafone. we called customer service and everything, they promised to solve the problem, but they didn't. so, Tele 2 being the cheapest might have its bad side on the SMS (and then probably MMS) towards foreign networks.

so, try sticking with the 2 other operators - T-mobile or Vipnet (vodafone partner) which have better service, although for a somewhat bigger price.

Where can i buy Simpa start package. Is it possible to buy it in news-stand, in Post office or only in T-mobile shop?

news stands should have it. also some stores with a pink t-mobile logo sticker on a door, or mobile phone shops (if exists in baška) and souvenir shops may have it.

...I think I saw a T-mobile prepaid packages in post office (last summer we were in Baska) ...

in Baška you can buy in supermarket and news-stand, for official T-mobile store I don't know if have in Baška I can't remember. But in place Krk you have one or two.

also I think in post office you can buy. You will find, is easy.
