Prema tvrdnjama samog proizvođača, Nokia 6100 je najmanji tri-band mobilni telefon koji je ikada predstavljen na svjetskom tržištu.

Pout ostalih novih modela koji nam dolaze iz Finske, novi pripadnik obitelji šestica podržava Java, GPRS, te MMS tehnologije te, kako i priliči novom uređaju visoke klase, ima ugrađen ekran u boji i elektronički novčanik, a opremljena je i Pop-Port sučeljem na koje se može priključiti najnovija Nokijina digitalna kamera.

Nokia 6100 teži 76 grama, dimenzije su 102 x 44 x 13.5 milimetara, a njena baterija podržava šest sati razgovora ili 320 sati rada u pripravnosti.
