How to Unlock Your BlackBerry Storm Handset

Remove the battery from the phone.
Insert any SIM card.
Wait 10 seconds before placing the battery in the handset.
Power the phone on and wait for it to boot up.
Turn off all Wireless Connections.
Go to Options.
Select Advanced Options.
Select SIM Card.
Press the Menu key and click Show Keyboard.
Turn the handset sideways (landscape mode).
Enter mepd (nothing will be displayed as you type this).
Enter mep2
Now it will ask you to enter network mep code
Type the code we have provided and press enter.
If there is more than one code provided, type each one until the phone says 'Code Accepted'.
Restart the phone.
Turn your Wireless Connections on again
VERIZON BlackBerry Storm Unlock Instructions

Tip: Turn the phone sideways so you get the full qwerty keypad

1. Ensure the SIM Card that came pre-installed in the storm is inserted
2. Go to Manage Connections
3. Click on Turn All Connections Off
4. Go to Options
5. Click on Status
6. (Input required info into Guarded Link to retrieve the unlock code)
7. Go back to Options
8. Click on Advanced Options
9. Click on SIM Card
10. Type MEPD (letters will not appear on-screen but a menu will pop up)
11. Type MEP2 (user will be prompted to enter MEP code)
12. Enter the unlock code (for example 1234567890123456)
13. Reboot device
14. Go to Manage Connections
15. Click on Restore Connections
16. Device is now unlocked If your phone was using the Verizon network, you will need to go to Manage Connections -> Mobile Network Options ->Network Mode and select the GSM option to disable Verizon Service.

- To turn off Wireless Connections, select 'Manage Connections' and then 'Turn All Connections Off'. Remember to turn this on after you have unlocked.

- Please check you provided us with the network carrier from which you purchased the handset and not the carrier you wish to use.

- You have 10 attempts to enter an unlock code, try each code we provide you with only once.

- If you get the 'Invalid Code' message on every attempt, reset the phone and try the first code one more time, if this fails then contact support.

- If the phone doesn't ask for the code try steps11 and 12 using meppd and mepp2 instead.


- If your phone requests a "SIM PIN", this is the four digit password you set on the phone

- To confirm that your phone is unlocked, insert the desired SIM card in the handset. The phone will boot up and get a signal.
