G700 and G900 are two new smart phones from Sony Ericsson. Both are equipped with touch screens, and good cameras. The G700 features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with fixed focus and the G900 features a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus. It’s not normal auto focus, though. It’s a new sort of focus, where you can press the area of interest on the phone display, and it’ll automatically focus on this area. Really smart!
Both phones are candy bar models with a 2.4 inch large display. The display is capable of showing up to 262.144 colours, and is QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels).
The phones are triband-GSM phones with UMTS-support. G900 furthermore supports WLAN b/g to use with the integrated Opera Mobile browser.
The phone dimensions are 106 x 49 x 13 mm, and it weighs a good 99 grams.
Both phones will be available around summer. G700 will come in a bronze colour variant, and the G900 in a red and a brown variant. No prices on these yet, but we’d expect something around £270 for G700, and £310 for G900.
