Legend of Maximus
Not much is known about the origins of Maximus. One rumor says he is the leader of a group of Ancient Guardians, a demigod watching over the world and its children. Another says he is a spirit from another world, bound to its safekeeping. However the rumors may differ, one thing is known for certain; his tendency to appear at a time of crisis to give aid when all hope is lost. Another thing known about Maximus is his deep seeded rivalry with arch-nemesis, Xylus, a chaotic being set on death and destruction. Previously imprisoned by the Council for his crime of bringing humanity to the near brink of extinction, Xylus is now free of his mystical prison and plans to plunge the world into utter chaos, yet again.
