The new Siemens C60 mobile phone – a contemporary classic which lets you share more for less

Siemens Information and Communication Mobile (Siemens mobile) launched its mid-range, triband C60 handset today in Moscow. With an attachable camera with flash, a sound record function, color screen, and a user-friendly interface, the C60 is a handset for those who want to communicate with emotion.

Simple to use, the C60 is a triband phone equipped with Multimedia Messaging (MMS). This allows users to take pictures with an attachable camera with flash, record and add a sound and send images instantly to friends and family from almost anywhere in the world. Whether it is baby’s first steps – or even first words - the first impressions of a holiday, or a family celebration, picture messaging with the C60 helps you share moments which words alone cannot describe.

Rudi Lamprecht, member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and President of Siemens Information and Communication Mobile explains: “The C60 should be a winner with consumers who like a more traditional look but who also want to communicate more emotionally with friends and family. It makes talking, text and picture messaging easy, whether at home or abroad. Simply put, the C60 is perfect for family people who want to express themselves in an exciting way, as simply as possible.”

Thanks to its polyphonic ring tones and a variety of CLIPit Covers, consumers can also personalize the C60. The 85g handset also has 250 hours standby time, ensuring peace of mind.

The C60 comes with a wide range of Siemens Original Accessories. Besides the attachable QuickPic Camera with flash and the six fashionable CLIPit Covers the C60 accessory portfolio offers a number of in-car solutions for optimum convenience. They include a Car Kit Comfort that comes with a two-part modular cradle to easily adapt to most Siemens future mobile phones, a flexible Car Kit Portable as well as a Basic Car Pack and a Mobile Holder. For added convenience Chargers, Data Cables, an extra Battery and a practical Tour Case are also available.

The phone will be available across Europe from September 2003.
