Xda Atom: new smartphone by O2, early photos

In the Internet appeared some photos of the upcoming smartphone by O2 operator – the Xda Atom. There is too little details about it. Rumors suggest that it will be released by O2 Asia division, and it’s not yet clear whether it will come to other markets.



The Xda Atom looks like smartphones based on HTC Magician platform, i.e. iMate JAM, Qtek s100, Dopod 818, MDA Compact and so on. At the same time the device is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. it’s highly possible that there will be the support of wireless standards Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.



Zvijerka al mi nije tolko lijep kao S100/JAM/Compact...

Koliko vidim ima 64MB RAM/128 MB ROM, 2MPx kameru s flashom, WiFi i ugrađeni FM tuner (radio), pogoni ga Windows Mobile 5, dimenzije i masa kao I-mate JAM ili MDA Comapact.

Da da al meni je ipak elegantniji Compact... Nekak mi se svidja minimalisticki design.
No, pitanje dal cemo Atom-a ikad vidjeti u Evropi... I ako ga budemo vidjeli, necemo htjeti vidjeti njegovu cjenu...

Rumor: O2 Xda Atom is NOT made by HTC but by Quanta !

This is very interesting and ground-breaking news, because although HTC seems to dominate Windows Mobile market, HTC fails however to deliver some features that users really want, like: FM radio, combined support for EDGE+UMTS, Wi-Fi 802.11g and 802.11a, camera with decent quality, camera with auto-focus, etc ... and the fact that Quanta could in fact start producing Windows Mobile phones would be incredibly good for competition and for fans of Windows Mobile !

Here is a rumor about O2 Xda Atom (a phone that is about to be released by O2 Asia by the end of this year):

A cuj stari moj da sam zidar definitivno ne bih trazio dalje od Universal-a (MDA Pro) jer sa takvom ciglom bih definitivno bio izvan konkurencije
Jeb*ote pa bilo bi me sram razgovarat s takvim kvardrom kraj svoje glave, moral bi si prije stavit vrecicu na glavi (ili bolje reci vrecu ;-)

Evo uskoro dolazi i Wizard koji bi trebao biti Magician Jr. (a neki kazu i Blue Angel Jr.) ali niti to ni bas "to"; pa stvar je debela kao moj ADSL modem, sto je cisti promasaj Nisi pogrjesio kupnjom Compact-a jer ce Compact, kako se cini, i ostati najkompaktniji PPC mobitel do daljnjega...
