Expanding its music offerings, Nokia today announced the 6630 Music Edition, a version of the company's very first 3G smartphone bundled with audio-oriented accessories. Arriving just ahead of the company's N91 music smartphone, which is to sport a 4 GB hard drive, the 6630 Music Edition appears to be oriented towards users which desire advanced functionality but find the capabilities of the N91 to be in excess of their needs.

Based around the exact same Nokia 6630 smartphone as previously released by Nokia, the Music Edition is comprised by a bundle of this device with a 256 MB RS-MMC card as opposed to the 64 MB card bundled with the original edition. Also, the bundle includes a Nokia USB MMC/SD reader for transferring music to and from the device, as well as the Nokia Audio Adapter which converts the proprietary Pop-port of the 6630 to a 3.5 mm stereo jack.

Other specifications of the Nokia 6630 Music Edition include its tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz support along with WCDMA 2100 MHz, or 3G/UMTS, as well as Bluetooth, a 1.3 Megapixel camera and support for Office file formats.

Available in either Rustic Red or Aluminum Grey, the Nokia 6630 Music Edition comes with a new selection of themes and ring tones pre-installed and will ship in Europe in late september for €500 EUR
