MPlayer is a movie player which runs on many systems (see the documentation). It plays most MPEG/VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, RealMedia, Matroska, NUT, NuppelVideo, FLI, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs. You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5 and even WMV movies..

Another great feature of MPlayer is the wide range of supported output drivers. It works with X11, Xv, DGA, OpenGL, SVGAlib, fbdev, AAlib, DirectFB, but you can use GGI, SDL (and this way all their drivers), VESA (on every VESA compatible card, even without X11!) and some low level card-specific drivers (for Matrox, 3Dfx and ATI), too! Most of them support software or hardware scaling, so you can enjoy movies in fullscreen. MPlayer supports displaying through some hardware MPEG decoder boards, such as the Siemens DVB, DXR2 and DXR3/Hollywood+.

MPlayer has an onscreen display (OSD) for status information, nice big antialiased shaded subtitles and visual feedback for keyboard controls. European/ISO 8859-1,2 (Hungarian, English, Czech, etc), Cyrillic and Korean fonts are supported along with 12 subtitle formats (MicroDVD, SubRip, OGM, SubViewer, Sami, VPlayer, RT, SSA, AQTitle, JACOsub, PJS and our own: MPsub). DVD subtitles (SPU streams, VOBsub and Closed Captions) are supported as well.

Valknut 0.3.6
Valknut is a program the uses the Direct Connect protocol. It is compatible with other DC clients, such as the original DC from Neomodus, DC++ and derivatives. Valknut also interoperates with all common DC hub software.

Originally, Valknut was called DCGUI, which unfortunately was very similar to the name of another Linux DC client. It was then renamed to dcgui-qt to avoid confusion. However, trademark problems relating to the use of 'Qt' in the name forced another name change, to the rather unique Valknut. Most occurences of the old names have been replaced, but in some places, such as where it would cause too much disruption, the name hasn't been changed.

Ovo većina vas već ima. Ipak, da ne bi tko propustio najbolji audio player na Linuxu, pomenuću ga. Program je vrlo nenametljiv. Super radi s playlists i ima veoma usable library. Smanji se u system tray i niti ne vidi se dok svira. Ovdje (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=11439) ima nice dodatak za amaroK.

2. dvd::rip

Fantastičan program za DVD ripping. Podržava i DivX i XVid i ffmpeg. Preporučujem ffmpeg. Nema se puno šta reći. Program je vrlo intuitivan, jednostavan i moćan. Opcija ima bezbroj, ali su sve vrlo pregledne.

3. Filelight

Ponekad se vjerovatno upitate: Kamo odoše svi oni gigabajti? Filelight može lako odgovoriti to pitanje. Izaberete direktorij i Filelight vam prikaže slojevit pie-chart sadržaja direktorija. Tako lako vidite koliko prostora svaki file ili direktorij relativno zauzima. Samo point mišem.

The undisputed champion of the world u svojoj kategoriji. Kile je LaTeX editor. Kile stvarno nema dostojnu konkurenciju. Program je perfektno napravljen i ne vidim kako bi ga se moglo poboljšati.

Kynaptic je KDE verzija Synaptic-a. Ovaj project je još u razvoju, a nema ni homepage (koliko ja znam). Pišu ga, mislim, dečki iz Conective. Negdje sam naišao na njega. Ne znam više gdje. Napravio sam RPM paket za Fedoru 2 (http://www.algoritam.net/forum.hr/ky...dr.1.i386.rpm), a source paket je ovdje (http://www.algoritam.net/forum.hr/ky...fdr.1.src.rpm), pa možete kompajlirati i za druge distribucije.

14. Nicotine

Nicotine je Soulseek client, a Soulseek je P2P file-sharing protocol. Soulseek je prvenstveno dobar za muziku. Ustvari, mislim da je najbolji za muziku uopće. Ima doslovce sve i download je brz, a mogu se skidati i cijeli direktoriji i browsati user files.

volio bih vidjeti i windows mediu player izdanja 7, 9 ili 10 bilo koji, moze i novi winamp. naime, linux je los kao multimedijalni player. narocito kada sam pustio melodiju sa moba u mid formatu u odnosu na win fale mu instrumenti i jos ritmicki zaostaje. jos bi bilo dobro kad bi bio powerdvd. ovo trazim za svoj linux suse 9.0
edit: usput, moj suse linux je na 5 cdova. dosadno mi stalno kod instalacije mijenjati cd-ove. e sad kako cu ja njega slipstreamati (staviti) na 1 dvd, a da pri tom ostane bootabilan, unaprijed hvala
