Baš me razveselila većina vijesti, ide Apple u dobrom smjeru, samo da iPhone 5 ne razočara...
Transparent iPhone 4 DIY Case Is Now Available for All !
There was a guy who lived at Hong Kong who thought it’s cool to have transparent iPhone 4. So, he took the chassis off and applied thinner inside of the glass to remove the black paint coating. So much for geekgasm, eh?
The Chinese neighbor next door learnt about it and thought this guy is cool but he is such a waste. If he wasn’t, why wouldn’t he make these cool transparent panels available in market. He did what our friend from Hong Kong didn’t and now you can buy the transparent back panels for your iPhone 4.
Now available at M.I.C Gadget for the price of $23.90, this cool panel is available in three frame colors: Silver, Black and White. It may look classy and all but it comes at a cost of degraded results of camera. You might have heard of the light leakage problem in the white iPhone 4 that degraded the camera performance which is why it never came out. With transparent panel, things of course will get worse.
If you think a transparent geeky phone is more aesthetically pleasing than the photos you take, this is made for you.

iOS 4.3 for iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod touch 4G / 3G Announced. Will Be Available for Download on March 11
Apple today has announced the very final version of iOS 4.3 for iPhone 4 (GSM only), iPhone 3GS, iPad 2 & 1G, and iPod touch 4G/3G.
This version of iOS brings a number of new features for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users including: ability to to cancel the download of an app, multitouch gestures for iPad (for developers only), Personal Hotspot for GSM iPhone 4, AirPlay for third party apps, option of choosing between mute switch and rotation lock for iPad’s “Side Switch” hardware button, subscription-based payments to iTunes App Store, Nitro JavaScript engine from Safari on OS X, new iTunes Home Sharing features, support for FaceTime on iPad 2, Photo Booth for iPad 2 and other system wide changes and improvements.
First Beta of iOS 4.3 was released back on January 12th, followed by second Beta on January 19th and third Beta on February 1st.
Apple will release this very final version of iOS 4.3 on March 11, along with the iPad 2.
Finally the moment has arrived when you have something more than a rumor round up on the second generation iPad. The announcement of iPad 2 is probably the second most awaited moment of the year for Apple fans, first one being the launch of iPhone 5. Want to grab the second-gen iPad ASAP? We’ll guide you through everything you need to know.

Availability
Pre-Ordering
You don’t want to want to get late, do you? iPad 2 is expected to run out of stock soon after the launch. If you want to be one of the first ones to grab this magical device, pre-order is the way to go. The first iPad was announced in end of January, while the shipment began in April. The pre-ordering for iPad 2 however starts real soon. How soon? 11th of March for the US and 25th for 26 other countries.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/F/ig/3JJCNY0H/pre-order.jpg
Want to Get it Off Store?
Sure, no problem. However, again, pre-order is the way to go if you plan to grab it on the launch date or you will have to get into the never ending queues at your nearest Apple store. The device is expected to be available on all Apple stores about a month after the pre-order
Price and Features
As speculated, the new product comes in the same price. Starting from $499, you will be charged for the amount of storage and type of connectivity you choose
http://www.pohrani.com/f/U/13T/2nugxche/ipad-price.jpg
Dual Core A5 CPU (and Superfast Gaming Graphics)
Speculations come true! That’s exactly how we thought the evolution of iPad is going to be and the Jobs announces dual core CPU. The CPU will be at-least 2x faster with the graphics as much as 9x.
Thinner & Lighter
Like we reported earlier, the new-gen iPad is really really thin and lighter too. As jobs puts it, despite adding so much to the original iPad, it’s still 33 percent thinner. The width has went from 13.4mm to 8.8mm which makes it even thinner than the iPhone 4.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1z/h3/3qMbCqIJ/thinner.jpg
Colors (Black and White)
Finally Apple has figured a way to make the product white without having to degrade the cam quality. With that Apple announces iPad 2 in white. Not only it’s announced, it will be available from the day one. Just because we highlighted the white one doesn’t mean the won’t offer it in black.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/38/6l/3VGKQw3k/white.jpg
Front Facing Camera for FaceTime
Finally you can say good-bye to one-sided video calls as Apple officially introduces Facetime in iPad 2 with a front facing camera. Some people may argue that self-snapshots on a 10" tablet is plain weird but I think video calls on iPad will be so much more fun than iPhone. If you can do on TVs, why not on a tablet?
http://www.pohrani.com/f/2l/gi/1SsMTBGK/facetime1.jpg
HD Camera on Back for Shooting Videos in 720p
Yup! There is a camera on the back too for shooting videos in 720p HD quality.
Gyroscope
iOS 4.3= Citat =:
With the built-in accelerometer, you can rotate iPad to portrait or landscape, or even upside down, and whatever you’re watching, reading, or seeing adjusts to fit the display. And now the accelerometer, three-axis gyroscope, and compass all work together. They sense which direction iPad is heading and how it’s moving. So games, maps, and other apps know your every twist, turn, tilt, and 360. It’s an epic win for gaming. And it’s just the beginning of better-than-ever iPad apps.
iPad 2 will ship with the latest and greatest release of iOS to date, that is iOS 4.3, which will be available for download on March 11.
Same Screen and Battery Life
Accessories= Citat =:
iPad is one big, beautiful display — 9.7 inches of high-resolution photos, movies, web pages, books, and more. LED backlighting makes everything you see remarkably crisp, vivid, and bright. Even in places with low light, like an airplane. And there’s no wrong way to hold iPad. It’s designed to show off everything in portrait and landscape, so with every turn (even upside down), the display adjusts to fit. Because it uses a display technology called IPS (in-plane switching), it has a wide, 178° viewing angle. Hold it up to someone across the room, or share it with someone sitting next to you, and everyone gets a brilliant view.
Even with the new thinner and lighter design, iPad has the same amazing 10-hour battery life.1 That’s enough juice for one flight across the ocean, or one movie-watching all-nighter, or a week’s commute across town. The power-efficient A5 chip and iOS keep battery life from fading away, so you can get carried away.
What do you get along? well, not a lot of stuff but these two handy accessories.
HDMI 1080p Video Out
Just for $39, you can now have HDMI on you iPad 2 which supports output upto 1080p. All you need is a cable. The real innovative part? It even charges your device while the cable is plugged.
Smart Cover
Since the original iPad case completely covered the beautiful device, Apple introduces smart covers with iPad 2. It’s just a flap that covers the front of the iPad and sticks to it. The best part? Auto wakes up as you put it off and auto sleeps as you close it. The flap also has fiber cloth on it that cleans the screen. It sticks to the device by using magnets which is what lets it auto-align to the device’s screen. The smart cover are available in both Poly and Leather. Poly cases, both available in 5 colors each, will cost you about $39, leather covers being expensive and more elegant cost $69

Photo Booth, GarageBand and iMovie For iPad 2 In Action [Official Video Demo]
The announcement of the iPad 2 might have been the big news to come out of today’s Apple event, but they also showed off three new apps – Photo Booth, iMovie and GarageBand – all for the iPad 2. Video demo in a official video after the break.
Photo Booth
Perhaps the least exciting of the three new apps, Photo Booth is obviously included with the new iPad 2 to show off the device’s new cameras. The usual effects are all included though we can’t help but wonder there is little use to be had out of the app once the initial ‘wow’ factor has worn off. We’re prepared to be proven wrong though!
iMovie
Much more interesting is the new iMovie. Similar to its iPhone counterpart, iMovie seeks to bring the power of the Mac app to the handheld world. Standout features include the precision editor, new themes and multi-track audio recording. The ability to send video over AirPlay as well as sharing in HD are also welcome.
iMovie will be priced at the usual $4.99 price-point and will be available on the iPad 2′s launch date – March 11th.
GarageBand
Bringing music editing to the iPad, GarageBand has a few tricks up its sleeve. 8-track recording and mixing, along with the ability to email your new AAC files stand out, while the way the iPad knows how hard you are pressing keys etc. is also impressive. According to Apple this is achieved by using the in-built motion-sensing hardware. Clever!
Like iMovie, GarageBand will be priced at $4.99 and will be available on the App Store from March 11th.

Apple has announced the very final GM (Gold Master) seed of iOS 4.3 for iPhone 4 (GSM only), iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod touch 4G/3G.
As with all the developer builds, iOS 4.3 GM is meant for registered developers only. Only members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access these bits of by signing into iOS Dev Center (aka Apple Developer Connection).
http://www.pohrani.com/f/2V/8p/19XTlXhd/ios-43-gm.png
First Beta of iOS 4.3 was released back on January 12th, followed by second Beta on January 19th and third Beta on February 1st.
Final version of iOS 4.3 will be released to public on March 11, the same day on which iPad 2 goes on sale in US.
If you want to keep your jailbreak and unlock, you better not update to this latest firmware now until and unless official new jailbreak and unlock tools are available for download.
Download iOS 4.3 GM for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and SDK
Download iTunes 10.2 for Windows and Mac
Yes you read that right ! The just released iOS 4.3 GM for iPhone 4 has been jailbroken already. The jailbreak though is tethered only for now, which means that you will have to boot it into jailbroken state every time you reboot.
Support for iPad, iPhone 3GS and iPod touches is on the way ! Simply follow the instructions below to jailbreak iOS 4.3 GM on iPhone 4 using a combination of PwnageTool 4.2, Universal Ramdisk Fixer and tetheredboot utility.
Here’s what you will need:
Note:= Citat =:
* PwnageTool 4.2
* Access to iOS 4.3 GM firmware
* iTunes 10.2
* Mac OS X
* PwnageTool bundle for iOS 4.3 GM
* Universal Ramdisk Fixer
* tetheredboot utility
* Cydia is fully working on iOS 4.3 GM.
* It is a semi-tethered jailbreak.
* Your baseband will not be upgraded during restore process.
Modifying PwnageTool
Step 1: Download PwnageTool bundle for your version of iOS device. Extract the .zip folder, in there you will find a .bundle file, for this guide, we are using iPhone 4 bundle iPhone3,1_4.3_8F190.bundle. Move this file to your desktop.
Step 2: Download PwnageTool 4.2 and copy it to /Applications directory. Right click, and then click on “Show Package Contents” as shown in the screenshot below.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/34/Qc/2cseI...jailbreak1.jpg
Step 3: Navigate to Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and paste iPhone3,1_4.3_8F190.bundle file in this location.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/0/bQ/PjevZm...break-43-1.png
Creating Custom Ramdisk for iOS 4.3 Custom Firmware
Step 4: Download Universal Ramdisk Maker and simply install it as shown in the screenshots below. This is important because Ramdisk in the current version of PwnageTool is broken. This Universal Ramdisk Maker basically patches it correctly for iOS 4.3 firmware.

Building iOS 4.3 Custom Firmware
Step 5: Download iOS 4.3 GM firmware. Move this file to your desktop.
Step 6: Start PwnageTool in “Expert mode” and select your device:
http://www.pohrani.com/f/9/c7/4P1tjW...etool-43-4.png
Step 7: Browse for iOS 4.3 GM firmware for your device as shown in the screenshot below:
http://www.pohrani.com/f/29/zf/2no4p...break-43-4.png
Step 8: Now select “Build” to start creating custom 4.3 firmware file:
http://www.pohrani.com/f/3i/7s/2Xgei...agetool-43.png
PwnageTool 4.3
Step 9: PwnageTool will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1i/fM/V4wVW...etool-43-2.png
Step 10: Once you have created the custom firmware, quit PwnageTool.
Restore iOS 4.3 Custom Firmware Using iTunes
Step 11: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1Z/8K/4zyKg...ne-4-421-4.png
This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.3 file. Select the required custom .ipsw file that you created above, and click on “Open”.
Step 12: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs the new firmware 4.3 on your iOS device. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iOS device will be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.
Booting in Tethered Mode
Last but not the least, since there is no untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3 yet, we will have to boot it into a tethered jailbroken state. To do this, we will make use of a utility named “tetheredboot” as shown in the steps below.
Step 13: Download tetheredboot.zip utility for Mac OS X and extract the .zip file.
Step 14: First, we will need two files from the custom iOS 4.3 GM firmware namely: kernelcache.release.n90 and iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu. To do this, make a copy of your custom iOS 4.3 GM file that you created above, change the extension of this file from .ipsw to .zip, and then extract this .zip file.
Now copy kernelcache.release.n90 file, and then copy iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu files which are found under /Firmware/dfu/.
Move all these files, and tetheredboot utility to a new folder named “tetheredboot” on the desktop as shown in the screenshot below.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/2N/11a/3FKq...break-43-2.png
Step 15: Turn off your iOS device, and start Terminal on OS X and run the following commands:
sudo -s
enter your administrator password, then:
/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/tetheredboot
/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu
/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/kernelcache.release.n90
You will have to of course replace “TaimurAsad” with the name of the directory on your computer.
now press enter.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1d/VA/48eOJ...break-43-3.png
You should now see some code running in the Terminal window, at some point, it will ask you to enter DFU mode. Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode:
* Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
* Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
* You device should now be in DFU mode
Now wait for your device to boot, Terminal at this point will be showing “Exiting libpois0n” message. After a short while, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will be booted in a jailbroken tethered mode !
http://www.pohrani.com/f/8/wh/28x4KXA8/ios-43-cydia.jpg
The just released iOS 4.3 GM brings some extra perks to iPad users, namely: Multitouch Gestures. These gestures can be used to do variety of tasks such as three finger app switching, going back to the homescreen by simple pinching out on the app you’re running using your fingers etc. Want all this goodness on your iPhone 4? Just follow the guide posted after the break and you’ll have multitouch gestures up and running in no time.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1P/YN/4cfVO...3-multitou.jpg
Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 4.3 GM running on your iPhone 4, you can follow the guide posted here using PwnageTool 4.2.
Step 2: Once you’re jailbroken, launch Cydia and install OpenSSH.
Step 3: Now you’re going to SSH into your device (by using clients such as Cyberduck for Mac or WinSCP for Windows), and then navigate to the following directory: System>Library>CoreServices>SpringBoard.app>N90.pl ist
Step 4: Using a plist editor such as TextWrangler, edit the N90.plist file.
Step 5: Add a Boolean statement “multitasking-gestures” and set its value to “True”.
Step 6: Save everything you’ve edited, restart the Springboard.
Step 7: That’s it, you’re all done! You should now see the Multitouch Gestures option in the Settings.app file on your iPhone 4. Just tap to turn it on.
A new update of Twitter for iOS is now live in the App Store. Available for both iPhone and iPad, the new version 3.3 of Twitter app for iOS brings tons of new features, including: improved conversation view for DM, Quick Bar, easier uploading of images and cleaned up design.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/3Q/3G/2h5y4WGn/twitter.jpg
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1C/62/4bgQG...for-iphone.jpg
Full change log is as follows:
= Citat =:
What’s New in Version 3.3
- Quick Bar, shows trends and other important things without leaving your timeline! Swipe the Quick Bar left/right to cycle through trends
- Trends based on your location
- Cleaner, redesigned Tweet compose screen.
- Automatically shortens URLs. Just paste them in and they will only count as 20 characters, no matter how long they are!
- Autocomplete @usernames and hashtags
- Easier photo uploading
- Find friends using your phone’s contacts
- Improved DM conversation view, now works similar to SMS/Chat
- Cleaned up preferences
- Bug fixes
The new and updated Twitter for iOS v3.3 brings a lot of welcoming changes over the previous version. But, what we don’t like about the update is the trending topics bar which is officially known as the Quick Bar. I personally found it annoying as hell and there was no way to get rid of it, until today.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1C/62/4bgQG...for-iphone.jpg
Thanks to this nifty little package called Twizzler, you can now remove the Quick Bar from the updated Twitter app for good. The tweak is available under the Big Boss repo, and what’s the cost? Its absolutely free!
http://www.pohrani.com/f/1/114/2f2JdpXp/twizzler.jpg
You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch to install it. Follow our step by step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Redsn0w on iOS 4.2.1 (or untethered with GreenPois0n RC5), or with Limera1n on iOS 4.1, or with PwnageTool on iOS 4.3 if you haven’t already.
Nearly 12 months after the original iPad went on sale, Apple announced its successor, the iPad 2, yesterday in an event held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco
http://www.pohrani.com/f/3G/l7/4Bk985tz/1/ipad-22.jpg
http://www.pohrani.com/f/3K/CZ/4yQ8g...ad-2-white.jpg
Of course one question on everyone’s lips is: what can this thing do when it’s been jailbroken?
Granted it’s a little early in the day to know just where Geohot and co. will take the iPad 2 in the coming weeks and months, but that isn’t going to stop us speculating!
As always, proper multitasking (and not task switching found in iOS 4.x) is something iOS power users have been crying out for. With the increased power inside the iPad 2, real multitasking could work much more reliably. Apps like Backgrounder could use the iPad’s screen size and fidelity to open up new multitasking metaphors – perhaps an expose or webOS style multitasking interface?
http://www.pohrani.com/f/t/2g/2xpjab...herforipad.jpg
The addition of the two cameras opens up new possibilities too. With Apple’s strict approach to the App Store, new and interesting augmented reality applications could find a home in the Cydia store. Imagine holding your iPad up like a window to the world behind it.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/2l/gi/1SsMTBGK/1/facetime1.jpg
We know that iOS 4.3 Betas had multitouch gestures built right into the OS for iPad to take advantage of. But we also know that Apple isn’t making it available to public with final release of iOS 4.3. Maybe they will with iOS 5? But those of us who cant wait should be able to enable these by tweaking some .plist files after jailbreaking iOS 4.3.
Better notifications system for iOS? While iOS 5 is said to bring a revamped notification system to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but it wont be available at least till summer this year (WWDC, iPhone 5 launch). The recently released MobileNotifier on Cydia is one such app which can bring a complete new notifications experience on iOS.
iPad 2 has the potential to be brilliant – or not. Time will tell, and we can’t wait to see what talented developers on Cydia can make of it.
But the real question is, when are we going to see the jailbreak for iPad 2 on iOS 4.3? Since iPad 2 is a complete new hardware, chances are that Apple might have patched the bootrom based Limera1n exploit in this new hardware. If that’s indeed the case, then iPad 2 users wont be able to jailbreak until and unless the leaked SHAtter exploit is also not patched. But if SHAtter is also patched, then someone will have to find another bootrom exploit in the new hardware for us to jailbreak it on iOS 4.3.
http://www.pohrani.com/f/2o/11r/3TofUevQ/4/gpweb1.png
iPhone developer and hacker Joshua Hill, who happens to be the guy behind the latest GreenPois0n RC5/6 release hopes at least SHAtter is still in iPad 2:

iPhone 5 to have Aluminium Back? [Rumor]
adgets DNA is reporting that it has a source in China that claims Apple is looking at producing an Aluminium backed iPhone 5. Part of the reason cited for this change in design is supposed to be related to ongoing problems with scratching for the White iPhone 4′s paint as well as either iPhones glass, and the generally negative reception to the glass back of the iPhone 4 and its perceived higher risk of smashing.
Steve Jobs has already said that the iPhone 5 will be an “all new” design.
If Apple goes with this Aluminium design, the thinking is that they would put the antennas behind the Apple logo in the back of the device. Potentially eliminating the “Grip of Death” but perhaps brining back some of the reception issues of the iPhone 3GS.
The same source in China also confirms that the iPhone 5 will go dual core, presumably with the Apple A5 SoC of the iPad 2 (perhaps at a slightly lower clock speed).
What is really interesting to speculate about is whether or not we’ll see Liquid Metal employed for the iPhone 5 case. Apple could simply be testing with Aluminium for now.
Liquid Metal, which we reported on last year when we found out that Apple had an exclusive license with the designer, is a stronger, lighter and easier to mould alloy, which could both strengthen and lighten Apple’s next iconic iPhone iteration.
It seems very likely that Apple may well be going with an iPhone 5 shape which is closer to that of the iPad 2 and new iPod Touch, and moving away from the strikingly different steel frame that you either love or hate on the iPhone 4.
